CRPOA suggests that you fully understand what coverage your agency provides you and under what conditions. Does the coverage apply when you serve as a volunteer, or only when your agency has a "callout" for your services? If you have a full-time occupation in addition to your volunteer position, you should also determine what benefits you may have from your full-time employer while you are volunteering. If you have other Accident Insurance polices, be sure to discuss with your Insurance Agent if coverage applies when you are serving as a volunteer. While CRPOA hopes that you will never have the need for Accident Insurance we are ready to assist all Reserve Peace Officers, Volunteers in Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue members.

If there has been no such designation, then payment will be made to Insured's first surviving beneficiary as follow: a) spouse; or b) children, in equal shares; or c) parents, in equal shares; or brothers and sisters, in equal shares; or e) executor or administrator. You can file a written request with the CRPOA Insurance Office to change the beneficiary. The change will become effective as soon as it is recorded in our office. Termination of Coverage
As long as you remain a CRPOA member in good standing, the Accidental Disability Benefit and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Benefit will remain in effect. Premiums are paid as part of your membership dues with CRPOA. They are due in advance of the last day of your membership coverage. There is a 31-day grace period following the due date. The insurance will terminate on the earliest of:
- the date you or your agency terminates your membership with CRPOA;
- the last day on which premium contributions have been paid following notice of termination of the group policy;
- 31 days after the due date of any premium contribution which is not paid.
Insurance terminated for nonpayment of premium contributions may be reinstated, during your lifetime, and within 31 days following the termination. No evidence of insurability will be required during this 31-day period.
