Educational forums for members interested in serving on the board of directors
Serving on the board of directors is one way to make a significant contribution to your Association. If you have ever wanted to know what it takes to make a difference in the California Reserve Peace Officers Association, attend one of these forums and get involved.
At the Annual Reserve Peace Officers Conference (ARPOC) the Association will host a short forum to provide members with information about what it takes to serve on the board of directors. Have you ever wondered how many meetings board members are required to attend? How many hours can you expect to devote as a board member? What are the required skills you need to serve as a member on the board of directors? Are you interested in having an impact on the success of your Association? You can find answers to these questions and much more if you attend one of the educational forums.
A forum will be held after the general meeting at each conference with a few of the existing board members answering your questions on the workings of the Board and commitment required. This forum will not interfere with scheduled classes.
