Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a password to log in online and update my member information? What if I forget my password?
If you are new to CRPOA and have not received your online information yet, send an e-mail to support@crpoa.org and you will be given access. If you are have previously received log in access but you have forgotten or lost your log in information, send an e-mail to the same address, support@crpoa.org, to get a password reminder.

When does my membership expire?
One year from the date you joined. CRPOA will mail you a new card and renewal form approximately 45 days in advance of that date. You can also conveniently pay your dues online.

I already have a Membership Card that has a renewal date of next year. Why did I get an Overdue notice?
CRPOA sends out Membership Cards with the renewal notice and Membership Information. We validate the Membership when payment Is received.

Is the site secure?
Yes. Because the CRPOA.org site has many administration and membership features, we have implemented appropriate security for all areas and functions, especially for payments, membership information and data security. CRPOA.org is a safe and secure Website.

Where can I get the poster of the guys in the alley called, "A reserve does it for a lot less..."?
You can order it online through the CRPOA store and have it mailed directly to you. It is available framed and unframed.

When is the Annual Conference and where can I get the application and class schedule?
ARPOC is held the end of August each year, alternating North and South site locations (i.e., 2006 Reno and 2007 San Diego). The costs, application and class schedule will be mailed out about the first of May and posted to the CRPOA.org Website at the date of the mailing.

Is CRPOA doing any Fund Raising?
Yes, we have an on going drive handled by Community Safety, LLC. You can learn more by calling Community Safety, LLC at 1-800-557-1454 ext. 311.

I'm not a reserve peace officer, can I become a member of the California Reserve Peace Officers Association?
Yes. There are members who are Search and Rescue, and Volunteers in Law Enforcement. All the benefits that apply to Reserve Peace Officers also apply to Search and Rescue and Volunteers in Law Enforcement. There are also membership categories for Full Time Peace Officers and Non Sworn Supporters that would like to show their support for these dedicated volunteers. How can I become a Law Enforcement volunteer or Search and Rescue member?
Check with your local Police or Sheriff's Department for the programs they offer and the qualifications.
