Reserve compensation: Top step is $23.05 per hour, all details and duty are paid. Paid Vacation, Paid Sick, retirement IRA, Uniform allowance ($350), issued firearm Glock 22.

Brea uses Level 1 Reserves in single man car with ability to float between Brea and Yorba Linda (Contract city). Reserves are on Patrol, Bike team, Range, Detective Bureau, Background investigators, the Warrant detail is all reserve program, SWAT/Hostage team, and active on all special details.
