Hayward, is an industrial based city that provides lots of opportunities to its reserve officers with both level 1 and level 2 assignments in patrol, and level 1 assignments to special squads like Narcotics, or R.A.G.U. our Reserve anti gang unit. There are also special details like parades, battle of the bands, Zucchini festival, and others.
Our level 1 officers can go on solo patrol to augment regulars officers.
Our instructors are Reserve officers POST Certified in Range Master, Defensive Tactics, and Driving.
While we are not paid, all uniforms and gear is provided by the City of Hayward. We have a large bureau with 45 members and are allocated to have 50. We are continually seeking qualified applicants from all walks of life, if you are interested call us:
